Still scared...can't move.
I'm headed for Seattle in a few hours. Would someone please rescue the damsel in distress?

I think she's joking - she seems like a can-do lady.

riguerin - with H. John and Ikote... :D
Well, in general our swell potential from EPAC storms depends on how much wind energy is transferred into the ocean, while the systems are in our swell window.

John is a big storm with lots of energy right now. The problem is that his track is well East of our window ... so it's doing nada for us right now. According to the current projections, by the time it turns West and reaches our swell window, it will be colder water ... it'll lose it's energy as it dies quickly. So, as of right now, John is not looking like a BIG swell producer for us ... but things can always change.

Hurricane Kristy, on the other hand is putting out :D She was upgraded to a Cat 1 hurricane yesterday and is currently in our swell window. She's not a big storm like John, but sill strong enough to send us some playful waist-chest high S/SE swell through the weekend. Kristy looks like she'll be fun to ride

Ioke weakend to a Cat 4 strom. It's moving NW (away) and still a ways off for us.

One of the weather forecasters stated there might be an early el-nino in the pacific which could limit hurricanes in the atlantic for this season. Usually they come around the end of nov-dec, hope they are right
