That was one of the threads I was thinking of when I made my previous comments.

Note how Hans Petter in post #1 doesn't call for a 20 year service life for Al tanks. He wants a 10 year limit instead. Makes perfect sense when you do not base your decisions on fact. 20 years, 10 years - why not every year. After all, as Petter says "aluminum is tricky and treacherous".
 
since Aluminum is so tricky and treacherous, lets also condemn every aluminum airplane after 10 years too, irregardless of inspections, based on the fact that there have been failures attributable to metallurgy
