If you dive regularly in Sydney you will certainly have noticed that the water is still warmer than usually at this time of the year and that a lot of tropical/subtropical fish are still abound, more like in the summer. I think this is due to an upcoming El Nino. I would be very keen to hear from people who have been diving in Sydney for longer than me (3 years), especially since the last major El Nino in 1997/98. How did the ocean around Sydney look back then?
