Hi there! I'm deep_6 and I hail from the Philippines. I've been contemplating on taking scuba lessons for a long time now and would like to consider this my first dip in the ocean of divers.

I'm very bored with my current job...life (except for my wife and kid) I'd like to jump start my life with a new career and lifestyle. Since I live in these Islands what better career than diving. Either as an instructor or technical / commercial diver I'm goin' for it.

Wish me luck!

See you around and stay safe.

welcome aboard!

and good luck...

out of curiosity, why the special forces motto?

Hope you have fun.

Howdy there! :sunny

Welcome to SB!! :happywave Put us in your favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

You live there, and you're just now thinking about diving...? Wow!

:D

Dandy Don, that's because diving in the Philippines is A VERY EXPENSIVE SPORT!

That's $300usd for OW cert. That still excludes the fee for the dive resort and boat for the open water dives during the course.

Let's say you'll bee spending around $1000usd for equipment.

It really took me some time to save up. And now I'm shopping around for the best school or training that money can buy.

Thanks for the welcome Dandy Don!
