gxdoyle; thanks for the invite, appreciate it.. but im kinda new & not sure if i shld be diving wrecks yet..? Last weekend was my very first dive weekend thus im still working on getting my act fully together underwater :-) Hoping to log more dives & maybe next time i can join u guys for a wreck dive?

cat_keeper: nice to meet you..! yeah it does seem PADI's the word these days huh.. even my dive shop offers both PADI & SSI now but for some reason my instructor suggested i do SSI.. not sure what the differences are, maybe SSI tables more conservative, but nevertheless i really enjoyed my dive training & wld say he conducted the course excellently.. so much so that i've grown to love diving so much now.. :-)

:silly: Uh, I gave you the wrong path. Damn! I've been having some severe server problems lately, and I think some electrons got confused. Here is the correct path: ScubaBoard.Com > Scuba Diving Central> New Divers & Those Considering Diving At least I think I got the flag right...? :11:

Hi David - we are in Singapore - do you want to come dive a nice little wreck this weekend? 24 meters deep only. Lots of sharks...
Me, me - pick me, I wanna' go!!

Well, 24 meters (about 65 feet?) is a bit much for a newbie, perhaps. I did 100 feet on my Resort dive before certification with a dive guide who should have known better even if I didn't, and I did a few 84 feet 5,000 feet elevation dives immediately after certifying, but I am a little crazy. Having been lucky on those, and now knowing better, I'd say you're right - not yet.

But you oughta' buy this guys lunch and get to know him better. He hasn't posted his dive history, but if he's experienced and more sane than I was as a newbie, he might be a wonderful dive buddy. :thumb:

hey DandyDon, thanks for the greet & advice, yeah u got the flag rite :-)
hey Paolov; Mabuhay dude..!
