I,m new to diving and within the past year have gotten my open water dive cert. but am having trouble finding people to dive with or as they are called in the dive community, dive buddies. Try Dive Animals Scuba Club San Diego They even have their own boat.

Get together with Power Scuba. You won't have a hard time finding dive friends then!

I will agree with H2Ocean re: Power Scuba...when I head south to Diego, I always enjoy diving with them.
Theyr'e VERY active in san Diego area. They also have a sub-forum here to get more info on them.

I don't know about San Diego, but I found plenty of dive buddies in the LA/Ventura area just by showing up on the dive boats.
