Wanted: 1 day use of Underwater Camcorder Housing, Santa Cruz

Hello,

I'm an independent Bay Area video producer and this Sunday, April 20th, in Santa Cruz, I'm interviewing Sean Van Sommeran of the Pelagic Shark Research Foundation. I need use of an underwater housing that would fit a Canon XL2 prosumer camcorder. I only need it for one day. Will be a simple shoot in the protected Santa Cruz Harbor, possible just in a swimming pool. I can pay whatever feels like a fair rate for a one-day rental, sign a contract, etc.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could hook me up for this simple one-day shoot.

Gates rents their gear. And they make an XL2 housing.

I would assume there would be retail shops in the Bay area that would rent a housing. Have you checked with Light & Motion or Backscatter in Monterey?

L&M only makes housings for Sony cameras...

It must be Backscatter that carries the Gates line as well as L&M's housings.
