We are going to GC this spring and want to try out a DPV.Is there any special tips/tricks to them?

I don't know what GC is but there are some things to bear in mind when scootering.

Don't use the scooter to ascend, this can lead to serious issues as I am sure you know. When descending, be ready to stop. This can be to clear you ears, wait for buddy etc. When starting up, check prop to make sure it is clear. Be aware of gas consumption especially if you HAVE to come back to the place of entry, it will take far more gas to swim back with a broken scooter. Be aware that a flooded scooter is heavy, make sure you have enough lift to bring it back. On the other hand, don't be afraid to drop the scooter in an emergency, it can always be recovered later. Keep track of burn time, you could end up far away with a burnt up scooter and have to swim it back. Regs can freeflow from the force of water on them while scootering.

The list goes on and on..... but have fun!!:D

GC = Grand Cayman?

Suggestion - depending on which model you're using...do not stick your hand in the props. Hurts.
