I am trying to put together a place on my website for dive emergency plans. If you have one you did for your Rescue class or, are a dive site that wants to make theirs available, I will create a new page on my website to post the DEPs I get sent.
I figure it will help out the dive community to have a spot to go to for DEPs for common dive sites.
A DEP should include:
Quick info on nearby telephones, O2, first aid kits
Quick info on what injuries are covered
Scripts for people calling emergency response folks to use
Locations of nearest hospital, and chambers with contact data
Directions to give to ambulances to the dive site location
Emergency numbers including DAN
Here is a format I use, but if you have a better one I would love to see it!
