Want to go diving!!

Hello, my name is Elena. I became a PADI certified diver in June of this year. My boyfriend got me into this sport.. but then recently dumped me. So now here I am.. with about $1000 worth of the equipment and no dive buddy
I do not intend to let this sport go. I enjoy diving too much even though I haven't been able to go to the pretty places yet. But I'm looking for dive friends whom I can share this passion with

Wellcome Elena This is a good place to find good dive buddies . You should check with your LDS and see if they have a buddy board or dive club. That is a good way to find divers in your local area . Good luck and injoy

Elena, welcome. You may also want to introduce yourself in the Texas Swamp Divers forum. There are quite a few members in the San Antonio area that would welcome you. Plus you are close to San Marcos and Austin (Aquarena Springs and Lake Travis). There are tons of potential buddies for you to talk with in those areas.

Thanks everyone for your replies and suggestions! I'm on a mission now. I have a couple of lake dives in the next two weeks but truly looking forward to some Caribbean diving... Hopefully I'll find a buddy soon. Thanks!

There is a website that is geared towards single divers that are looking for a dive buddy/friend/date.
I saw it on a TV show and it looked kind of interesting.

head for the Florida Keys or any cool island,,sign up for a boat dive and within minutes you will have plenty of dive buddies,,,
