Are you diving wet or dry? I's just wonderin' is all...trying to get a feel for what people are doing here in New England in November...

next week if the weather looks good and I can get daycare. Catching those bugs got me all worked up. I'll be in a drysuit.

Fortunately for you guys, water's a tad warmer (not much but a few degrees more) where you are than Cape Ann. I find if have decent wetsuit, it's fine under. It's topside that sucks when winds are blowing and cool air temp. If above 40 and sunny with no wind, getting out of wetsuit wet isn't bad.

I at this time am diving dry anyway but used to dive wet through turkey day all the time.

You are so right! It's not the water temperature that bothers you. It's the 30 mph breeze when you take the wetsuit off.

I was finishing up my AOW last December at Fort Adams. Water temp was 46, air temp was 44 and wind was blowing over 30. I swear i was not cold until I took the wetsuit off. Then I damn near froze to death, especially when I discovered i forgot my towel!!

I have this coming week off work too, so I'll be diving if anyone wants to go.

The seas are supposed to be pretty churned up between now and Monday, but Tuesday thru Friday look good.

I have a lobster license too, so let's go! Let me know when/where!

I'll be diving wet, but I have a tight fitting wetsuit and a pretty good tolerance for the cold.

John,

Welcome back from diving Monterey. I can't play hookie those days. I have meetings/appointments can't change. Would have liked to have gone to W. Rutland with you. I dove it wet a few weeks ago and was fine (My dry suit sent in to convert to DUI Rockboots from turbo-soles)

Can you get boss to let you out tonight to come to UDNH dive club banquet with me? Can meet at my house and drive up together. Let me know.

Since I'm a relatively new diver, I'm still paying off the bills from my initial equipment procurement. Anyways I'm diving wet, with a 7mm suit. I think that I shoud be able to handle fairly cool water temps, and I never forget to bring a towel.

I was supposed to go diving today, but I guess its something to do with a little bit of snow that may scare some people away. I called up my dive shop to see if they were still going out. The person answering the pohone said that they'll call the dm to find out what's going on. I guess the dm couldn't be reached for comment.

I'm al ready to dive any day after Monday.

Anyone can get in for the first dive. It's the BT and surface interval that really hurts. My new rule is drysuit only on my boat after October. I came close to having a wetsuit wearing popsicle onboard after the 10 minute run back in.

Center console fishing boat = Nowhere to get out of the wind. :ice:

I can't imagine wearing a wetsuit on a boatride back from a dive site in November. BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! Sounds like a common sense approach. My bro and I were freezing after a dive at STB the other day 'cause of the SW wind and we were right by the cars. No way we could have done a SI. Wow. No diving for me until I get that drysuit(on the list). See ya in the Spring.
