I may just have to give Jim Sheldon a call but since he's retired I thought I'd ask here first.
I have a new-to-me compressor that I've run for about 3 hours. I installed an oil pressure gauge at Jim Sheldon's recommendation.
Just now, the noise made by the compressor changed somewhat and I looked at it and saw that the oil pressure had dropped to zero. I confirmed that the oil reservoir is filled properly and that the cap is tight. I am using the turbo oil that Jim recommends.
Are there any common causes or easy things to check? Given the spotty parts availability for these, unless it's something simple, I'm probably going to have to replace the whole unit.
