I just don't log dives
Here are a couple of shots of the Vytec, bungee rigged.

Used shrink tubing, and shrunk it down after the installation in an effort to prevent the pins from being worked free (compressed) by the bungee. So far, so good.

Overlapping loops, yatta yatta yatta.

What exactly is shrink tubing and how do you make it shrink more?

It looks like you have a fairly safe way of taking your gauges down without losing them. :)
 
you know - its that black (or whatever color) plastic tubing, that when hit with a heat source (hot blowdryer, heat gun, etc) shrinks down to about 50% of it's original diameter. The length doesn't shrink much, but it gets smaller around.

I use it in the studio (recording) all the time to fix cables, etc.

Radio shack - short lengths (6") in many sizes.
