My Vyper hasn't turned off since diving yesterday. I washed the contacts carefully and the computer is dry. Any ideas?

thanks in advance.

24 hour time to fly timer?? The computer won't shut off till after 24hrs from your last dive and a set time after if you have used it for a log or something else, but not a dive.

The weird thing was that my buddies computer had turned off already. I'm thinking that mine may have stayed wet longer or something. At any rate, it's off now. thanks.

BrianS:
In your manual, it should state how long after your last dive it takes to shut off.

really? in the manual? j/k

I was away from my manual yesterday when I posted. I'll look into it tonight.

No. It should still shut off after a few hours (2 or 3?) even with the "no fly" time. It will still count down of course, but still shuts off.

I've found that when my Vyper won't shut off, I soak it in warm fresh water for about 20 minutes, rinse it well, then let it dry thoroughly. So far this has done the trick every time.

Sorry, don't own a Vyper but fiured it was something simply. Most computers are the same.

Yep, somewhere in the manual it mentioned something about if the computer won't shut off, it may be salt residue on the contacts. I've found it does better with a few minutes of fresh water immersion rather than just rinsing it.
