Oceanbound, I'm planning on being there just before noon..........and there may be some people heading to Morrison if opened, if not diving at Vortex...........

I'll even bring some deer meat to grill I know, I'll trade food for diving buddy :) never been to Morrison, want to just hadn't gone.

I've been keeping up with the thread. Wish I could stay all weekend but family duty calls....as well as my advance training :D which I'm really looking forward too. but sure does sound like loads of fun to be there all weekend.

Is anyone going to be at Vortex on Friday and willing to tolerate a newbie a bit? I want to work on buoyancy and other skills and have no dive buddy for that day. I won't be there Saturday like I originally thought as I will be doing a night dive in P'cola for Advance on Saturday.
I live less than two hours away and can be at Vortex by 9 or 10 o clock that morning.

We'll be there sometime before 12 on Fri. We'll be in site 10 right there on the corner. I'll be working with the wife if she is able to come if you want to join us.

Jaime

Ocenbound . . . .

I'm a PADI instructor and I'd be honored to work with you on your buoyancy.

I'd be honored K
I'm so looking forward to putting faces with the names of folks on SB
So I'll just plan to be at Vortex around 12 then.:D
I'm excited now. I'll get 4 - 5 dives in this weekend with Vortex on Friday and P'cola on Saturday

oh wait..... you just offering for the dear meat, right? ;)

No, I'm bringing "Kraken Gruel", also known as homemade brunswick stew.

and thanks for the offer too Jaime, and Mr. Jim. Looks like if I show up, I'll get to dive :)

and K, the stew sounds better than deer meat to me. I'm not a fan of it, but I'll bring some for someone else to cook/eat if they are interested. Hunting season will be on us soon and will have to make some room in the freezer.

I'll be working with the wife on her buoyancy as well. She will be doing her 1st BP/W dive. The standard BC is gone. I'll have her cave ready in know time.

Krac- I'll add her to the Sally's list as soon as its final.

You can use that Deer meat for stew as well. Its great! When I used to hunt we had deer stew a lot.

Jaime

I make it for the family a lot but just not a fan. but since I live with three who hunt, there seems to be a lot of it to cook with. I simply don't like the taste of it. can't explain it. Will cook it, try it, but don't like it. I usually will make me something different on those nights, like a salad. But I will be glad to bring some for someone to cook with. Would be glad too.
