That should be a specialty course! "cave Diving from a canoe" Some organization will pay you for that one. I've been canoeing, I'm not good at it. The smallest boat that I've ever been diving off of was a 24' pontoon boat.

We had three sets of full cave gear in Walter's canoe a few weeks ago. Three sets of sidemount gear...and we ain't talking small bottles. I had 108's, Walter had I think 120's, and Denise...well she had some girly tanks! Paddled around the Mill Pond with no problems.

Done that too, and I was the lightest of 3 divers... at 210ish lbs. We had about 2" of freeboard.

You guys are either good or nuts. I do good to keep a canoe bottom side down when it's not loaded. Give me a big boat or an entry platform any day of the week.

We always stay in Chipley at Comfort Inn. More pricey, but very clean, has a pool, hot tub, hot breakfast, and close to Walmart and other places. There the place to eat is "Skins and Bubba's" with a ribeye that'll fill up your plate, and downtown is a seafood buffet, ????????? Family Restaurant. Much nicer accomodations than the Ponce De Leon Motor Lodge, and doesn't have that funky smell coming out of the owners apartment which lingers throughout the entire complex. Also, We had shower issues at PDL ML, no hot water - kinda sucks at wakeup time or mid afternoon as divers return.

The trip was great but we figured that out real quick.
