I just had to share this photo from Vortex Springs I snapped today. Oddly enough I didn't notice the issue until I got home this evening and was posting the pics to my photobucket. This IS NOT PHOTOSHOPPED!!!! This Fish has an extra tail/fin growing out of the side of it's head. :shocked2:

Could it be the tales of Southern Inbreeding spread from the Kentucky Mountains to our own backyards?:shakehead:

That looks a little like a brim or sunfish... they have a "tab" on their gill flap but I don't remember it being that high up OR that large. That might be what it is.... it's a close up for sure.

Did he say Ky mountains? Might be a misprint.... :) Maybe a little further to the east of you all... :D

It is neat when you get to learn something about something. :)
