Once more to the well for a final question on Coz. Seems from my web surfing that power supply and plug pin configuration in Coz are same as U.S, or at least close enough to accomodate my battery charger and laptop power supply without adapters/converters.
Is true?

ps...laptop safe in Brisas hotel room?

Thanks much,

Best,

The outlets in Coz and Mexico in general are the same as ours. 115 VAC at 60 HZ. That is where the similarity ends. Power interuptions and surges are common in Mexico. Of the industrial sites I have serviced, most use back up power and hefty surge arrestors. I would highly recommend the same for your laptop, telephone lines and cellular telephone chargers. Surge arrestors are available at Radio Shack, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, etc.

two prong not the three prong grounded like US. Best get a 2 prong adapter to take along.

metaldector once bubbled...
two prong not the three prong grounded like US. Best get a 2 prong adapter to take along.

The older two prong outlets may not be polarized, i.e., both prongs may be the same (small) size rather than one being bigger. A standard 2 to 3 prong adapter won't work; you'll have to file the larger blade down to the same size as the other one.

The more recently wired places all use the US standard three prong system.
