Visiting Olympia Area Jan 21-22

Hey Washington kinfolk...

Grew up in the PNW, haven't been up for several years though.

I'm coming up for a short vacation in January, and would like to dive Hood Canal the 21st and/or 22nd. Never dove in the Sound or in salt water for that matter. What should I expect, where do I fund buddies, where can I rent tanks, etc?

Welcome back! I'm an Olympia area diver, although I think my rescue class is that weekend. I get fills at Underwater Sports in Olympia, if you want Nitrox try Hood Sport N' Dive out on the Canal (also the place to go to get the key to Sund Rock). For buddies I'd love to dive if I don't have class, otherwise try Northwest Dive Club online-there are tons of awesome folks on there!
