We made a dive on the landing craft this morning. The brown water was higher in the water column, but visibility was still only five feet with surge and 52° water. Yuck.

Can you send some of that good viz down here.Phil, you and Merry shoud make a trip up to Norcal. We've been having decent vis up to 25- 30 feet on shore dives in Sonoma County,
and better up in Mendocino County.
Same here on the island. Yesterday I dove in some of the worst conditions I've been in in 2-3 years: strong orbital surge and 5-15 ft vis with a heavy load of resuspended particulates and algal fragments. Normally I'd thumb a dive in those conditions, but my gills were dry after two days of non-diving. At least I got great video of poor diving conditions!
