Went to dive Nubble last night. Forecast was 2 to 3 feet waves, 5-10 knt west winds. Worth a drive. As approached long sands beach, saw surfers.. Mmm..
As got to Nubble, the cove seemed relatively calm but there was a noticeable swell at the point of island. Looking at water from edge of rocks, it looked ok and could see to bottom.

As got in and headed out, vis went to crap. 12 min later.. Aborted dive.

This must be the beginning of what to expect the rest of the week for a while.

It was nice while lasted. Maybe I can get some work done now.

I hear you. A few of us tried to dive Kettle Cove in Cape Elizabeth, ME yesterday and pulled the plug after 22 minutes. The vis was one to two feet, at best.
