Seeking underwater cave explorers for hard work, hot days, bad food, pay your own way, difficult rope access, - Virgin Cave Guaranteed!

Advanced Diver Magazine’s Yucatan 2006 expedition is providing openings for 2 new explorers who are willing to spend the time, effort, and their equal share of the costs to discover virgin caves, new species of cave life, and possible ancient Mayan artifacts,

Working with the Mexican Ecology Department, our expedition will begin on January 5th, 2006. The team will meet at the Cancun Airport, Mexico where we will travel over 150 miles into the center of the Yucatan.

Base camp is inside a 400-year old church in the small village of Homun. From base camp we will spend 10 days searching for new cenotes and dry caves within 40 miles.

These caves require the use of technical rope techniques as they are normally between 50 and 100 feet above the waters level. Many also require basic dry caving techniques to gain access.

Sidemount cave techniques are required along with rappelling and ascending equipment.

During half of this expedition the team will be working on gathering HD film footage for a possible up-coming film documentary. Your assistance will be used in all aspects of filming, sound, and lighting techniques, both above and below the water.

Also during this expedition we will be searching for new species of cave life with team member, Dr. Thomas Iliffe. Your assistance will be used with collecting, etc…

Yup, I'm disqualified too....

Why do we have to be virgins? If I abstain for an entire year, will I revert to being one?

The caves will be virgin (never before explorerd) You do not have to be, and if you are I am sure we can dig up some money and help you solve the problem in Mexico. But we are not responcible for anything else you might bring home.

Or anyone...

Curt, one day I'll be able to respond positively to one of these solicitations. You're a lucky SOB man. Be safe down there, and we'll be looking forward to hearing back from you.

LOL, priceless :D

Unfortunately, I'm not a cave-diver unfortunately. This sounds a lot like the dry caving expeditions I've had the pleasure (?) to attend.
