The single shown is a LP 120 that is rated at 2500 psi, so there is no problem with the Mistral or any other single stage reg, but it does get sweeter after a bit of air is gone. The doubles shown are 72's at an even lower pressure of 2250 psi. I have another H-valve that may go one a 72, but maybe not.

If you use an H-valve make sure that it is a 200/230 Bar valve as the DIN incerts will not work with a 300 BAR one.

Hey Pete,

Very nice. Looking at the second picture from the top?the yoke does not seem very thick. Have you had any problems with 3000psi or greater service pressure?

c

I don't abuse my single stage regs by using them much above 2250 psi, therefore the yoke is plenty sufficient. The new reproduction Mistral yoke seems a little heavier than the standard yokes. The Mistral originally came with the short yoke but later versions had a long throat yoke for use with the banjo adapter. The Phoenix conversions and the heavy yoke RAM do fine up to 3,500 psi (3,400 tanks). N

Thanks guys.....that's what I was concerned about, the yoke. I have seen a few older single hose regs with thin yokes that stretched and allowed the o-ring to extrude when hooked up to only 3000psi. Of course those old yokes were not designed for that pressure.

The US Navy routinely used that yoke at 3000 psi on their double 90 cu/ft non magnetic aluminum tanks when their main regulator was the Aqua Master and the early Conshelf's with a similar yoke.
