When cleaning regulators (1st/2nd stages) how long should the Vinegar (5% non diluted white, food grade) bath last?

5-10 minutes or is overnight ok? will it damage parts if left longer? need to get some salt/oxidization off some regs I recently acquired

Are these brass and chrome? If so then you can leave it in the bath several hours. Do not expose rubber/neoprene parts to the acid wash. Rinse all parts in clean water after the acid bath.

BTW, www.vintagedoublehose.com has a regulator cleaner that works very well on brass, chrome and other metal parts and is priced cheap. N
