This past weekend, I did some diving out of Milwaukee on three wrecks: the Car Ferry Milwaukee, the tugboat Gillen and the Prins Willem V. I tried out my new Equinox HD6 video housing with my Canon HF20 on the Gillen wreck and put together some footage.

I realized after viewing the video that the aftermarket wide angle lens on the Canon resulted in lens vignetting when fully zoomed out. Too bad, but the effect is actually OK here, I think. Live and learn.

Thank you for posting that. I have recently become interested in diving Lake Michigan, as I grew up in the area. What was temp like at depth?

Temperature at the bottom on the Gillen and the Prins Willem was 48 degrees that day. Downright balmy! :D

Thanks for sharing. I've been out to the Gillen twice with Jerry, but there was no mooring, so he headed over to the dredge instead.

PS, technically, it isn't vignetting, it's just your port is visible.
