Victoria Vis conditions?

A good 60 feet plus at Madrona Point this morning. Saw 4 big octopus, including one that came all the way out of the den, and 2 wolf eels on eggs. :cool2: Lots of sea lions in the area, but they just passed by and showed no real interest in us.

The winter visibility seems to have arrived in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It was only 15' at Church Island and 15-20' at Smyth Head today.

10 to 15 feet of visibility at Dolphin yesterday morning. :depressed: All the rain we have had certainly
had a negative effect on vis. Hopefully it clears up soon.

Pretty good (for the area) today around Enterprise Channel/Gonzales Point today. -About 20'.

I went back to the Gonzales Point area today. Visibility was a bit less, maybe 15'.

I went to the Gonzales Point area again today. The wind had kicked up quite the surf and visibility was around 10-15'.

Five octopus, 4 wolf eels, and the usual myriad of fish.

15-20' at Gonzales Point today.

About 15' at McMicking Point today. The waves were stirring things up and it was dark and gloomy on the surface.

30 to 40 feet of vis at Tyee Cove this morning. Heavy overcast made it dark - definitely needed a dive light.
