Ogden Point breakwater was a below average murky 10'-15' or so from flag 3 to the beach. (Sat June 7) A den-dwelling octopus, lots of crabs in-on-among the kelp, a goodly assortment of greenlings and rockfish, but sadly still no sunflower stars.

10' in the shallows at Sluggett Point (Saanich Inlet) today. Below about 20-30', it opened up to about 40' of visibility.

I doubt anyone's thinking of diving in Cowichan Bay, but in case they are, visibility was pretty terrible there today. It was ok at the surface (8-10'), but below 30' it started dropping and by the time I reached 90', visibility was about 3' (I couldn't see my fins). Of course it was pitch black as well.

Dove at Madrona this morning. Vis was good throughout the whole dive, but especially good at depth. Estimating at least 75 feet of vis today :D Three wolf eels, two octopus, lots of ling cod, a large school of small herring, and a visit from a sea lion.

Your visibility report made me go up to that area today. I took my boat to Mistaken Island. Visibility was 10' in the shallows and steadily improved as I went deeper. Below 60 feet deep, visibility was an amazing 80 feet or so.

I went back today. Visibility was the same 10' in the shallows, but instead of steadily clearing, it suddenly went great at 30' deep. I'd say the same 80' of visibility.

Dove at Madrona Point yesterday morning. Visibility was approx 50 feet on the main wall. Six wolf eels, 3 octopus, and the usual assortment of fish including one big tiger rockfish. Looks like the wolf eels are finally coming back here :D
