Those waves look like fun :D i dont think i would attempt them if they look like that :) but they wont

Ren is on point,

I was there yesterday left at 2pm and it didn't look like it would be an issue for the vets entrance area. further south area was getting hit with nice 6 footers though.

Still won't be able to make it but wanted to give my relative input.

Have fun everyone, hopefully i'll meet up with you on the next one!

Waves..... What are waves? :D the dive was awesome there was some swell when swimming out but we just rode those. The Viz. was awesome it was farther then my light could go on the first dive. i want to say at least 15+ ft. There was no Surge. Lots of sand crabs, Sheep Crabs, Swimmer Crabs, A Sarcastic Fringe head, Two Octopus, Lots of Brittle stars and sand dollars, Squid Eggs, Lots of Flat fish, A Toung Fish, And a starry Flounder. :) And thanks kevfin for the use of the Light. Had a fun time. And best of all got Night Certified tonight :)

It was a great seeing everybody and seeing new faces. Great dive, great time, and lots of fun.

I knew everything was going to be great because when I got there I saw Walt C. (of DiveVets fame) and his son leaving... they had some good things to say about the conditions.

Cody and Ren thank you for buddying up with me. Erika, you're more than welcome (see post above) -- anytime, and congratulations.

Dave, sorry about the reg. Another reason why I should always bring my extra set of regs... (when will I learn!?). We'll get to dive next time.

Megan and Nick, it was good seeing you and the the other diver (forgive me as I can't remember his name -- I believe my rectal temperature was below 91.4F/33C and I was barely conscious because of it :) )...

I look forward to the next dive... thanks to everyone

Ugg sounds like it was a great dive. Horrible allergies and sinus congestion keeping me outta the water for now. Man I was looking forward to this one. Glad you all had a great time.. -Nick

Hehe the other persons name was Jim :) thats ok that you dont have to rember because i dont rember any of your guys name :D:D

:eyebrow: What a great time I had yesterday. Thank you so much everyone. Erika, you really know your critters. Things we saw which were not on Erika's list above were a squid that was by the squid eggs (yes :11: shocking place to find a squid) and a seal that did not stop to play with us.

Especial thanks to my dive buddies Kevin and Cody. Kevin was a wonderful underwater guide and didn't mind me bumping into him. Cody who let me borrow his steel 100 so that we can stay down there longer. But, boy was I a complete :dork2: underwater this time. I had not shed enough weight off of me, so I kept doing belly flops off the ocean floor :lotsalove: Not to mention anything about the complete lack of control which made me over exhort by using my hands non-stop. Sorry guys, I know I caused the dive to be shorter and had to swim back to shore above water.

Dave, sorry again that you missed the dive. As I told you, Nick and I have been talking about doing this dive. Maybe you guys can come out together next time and we'll make the dive happen. :coffee: I'm waiting.

Ren

I too had a great time. the 'surf' was, as said, a walk in the park. Lots of chop but the vis was great for California and there wasn't any surge to speak of. Ren, and Kevin, thanks for the great dive, and it was nice to meet Megan and see Erica again. Dave, too bad your reg didn't work out for you, hopefully you can get it fixed up soon.

hehe ren i forgotgot about the seal. and as for the squid i never saw them.
