Cool photos, Archman. For the record, <i>Lophius</i> sp. are not sexually dimorphic. Their relatives the ceratioid anglerfishes are, however.

Very correct and additionally they are not necessarily deep water fish either. They can be found anywhere from the shallows to deep water. I've encountered juveniles off New Brunswick and Cape Ann, Massachusetts who were very cool. Dive buddies have seen full grown "monsters" in water as shallow as 15 feet.
