I went through a military course once that had to do with investigations, specifically conducting subject interviews. First rule: A subject is likely to answer exactly what you ask him.JeffG:Yes.

"Can you tell me what your name is?"
"Yes."
Some of the instructors reveled in doing that to young students during exercise interviews...

Yeah, I know. I wasn't criticizing either mxracer19 or JeffG.MN Lakeman:..Awe come on - the guy just wants some feedback on this great forum!
I was having a bit of fun...but in all honesty I would agree with MN Lakeman's review.Marek K:Yeah, I know. I wasn't criticizing either mxracer19 or JeffG.![]()
jacisner:I have a veo250 in the swiv console, and like it a lot. Easy to use, easy to read. Lots of variable settings so you can manage your dive. One small complaint - it's pretty conservative on ascents. It requires 30 feet per minute for dives shallower than 60 feet, and 60 feet a minute for deeper dives. Also, I've had to call Oceanic customer support a couple of times to ask questions, and they're wonderful! You always talk to a "live" person, and you arent taken through a million numerical menus (like "press 1 for this", then "press 2 for that").
If your current depth is greater than 60, the "Max" ascent indicator is for a speed of 60ft per min. If the diver is shallower than 60 the "Max" is 30 ft per minute. So in theory if you were ascending at 60 ft per and crossed the 60 ft boundary your computer would indicated a too fast ascent.djanni:Wow! Ascend at 60 feet per minute if you go 61 feet deep? I think you said that wrong? 60 feet per minute would be going up twice as fast as 30 feet per minute. What were you trying to say?
