I have to be stone sober to watch out for the morons who think that being on the water exempts them from all common sense.
Amen. When I'm under sail it doesn't matter that the Colregs give me right-of-way if the other boat is clueless--or worse, actually interfering with me. Safe boating takes a cool head and a willingness to get out of the way of the idiots.

Not to belabor the boating thing on a diving forum (although it's an integral part of diving), but:

When a 52 foot Sunseeker is bearing down on you, with his autopilot engaged, it's not the time to argue about "right-of-way." Not in my little 34 footer!

Only two weeks until I'm diving in the warm Caribbean waters!!

Yep - the number one 'Rule of the Road' is to avoid a crash.

In some circles, 34' is not a small boat! Ha ha ha!

Didn't you know that they shrink when you put them in water? :D

Sounds like the answer is equipping DPV's with mini torpedoes. Not enough to blow it out of the water but a nice little 6-12 inch hole in the side ought to get their attention!

Plus what do you expect from a state that gives Teddy a drivers license. And let's him go anywhere near water with other people.
