The tooth Pete found - pictured above - is over 5 1/2 inches long and almost 4 inches wide. Just the small piece of enamel missing on the display side of the tooth keeps it from being flawless. I have never found one that big or nice. Maybe it is because I am on the boat all the time. The nicest tooth recovered from our boat was straight off the the three condos about 5 years ago. It was a flawless 6 1/8 incher and the fellow that found it was on his first saltwater dive. His scuba regulator (Dacor Olympic) was from the late 60's and I offerred him a $1000 in brand new dive gear for the tooth. He was smart - he kept the tooth. Two killer teeth found this past February can be found on youtube - just type in "shark tooth diving" and you will see "Diver Dan" actually recording a video of him recovering the teeth. You will also see my mate Marie doing some free diving.
