Just curious

When shore diving from Venice Beach or Spanish Rocks, how many dives do you typically do during an outing? If doing more than one dive, do you bring multiple tanks or do you get tank fills in between dives?

Sean

If I'm doing more than 1 dive, I usually bring the extra tanks. That way I don't have to worry about losing my parking spot & I can get back in the water faster. Some people do run up to Florida West in Venice & get fills. I guess it's all a matter of personal preference & if you are lucky enough to own more than 1 tank.

I usually bring more that one tank as well. You can never be too prepared. You never know the nearest dive shop might have a problem with their compressor or something.

Thanks guys!

I will be staying at Venice with the family over the Labor Day weekend near Alhambra street. I would like to get a dive or two in.

It will be my first time at Venice Beach - looking forward to it

Ironically, we stayed on Anna Maria Island over the Memorial Day weekend very near the Spanish Rocks - however I was not certified then

I usually take 2 or so tanks.. sometimes my doubles. A nice steel 72 or 80 or 100 and you'll be down 90 minutes to over two hours depending on your SAC. :)

We usually bring 2 tanks each...just in case. Everybody is pretty relaxed and it's a nice dive so 90 mins or more on an al80 gives us plenty of diving.

Def take 2 tanks. I use alu 80's and they last 1.5-2hrs. I do a morning dive, have lunch and try to be done by 3pm with 2nd dive.
