So I shall give a south whidbey vis, possible conditions report.

As of today VIS is down cause of the bloom yet particles are medium sized, this is down past 80'. The norm for lincod season, seen two egg masses, thinkin lincod, there in the same place as last year.

This is a picture of the vis with imagination.

Well a 9:00 am dive at the scatchet head reef, the vis in no more than 10' at 16' deep as I was going for a Cabezon today. It is opening season, Also opening day for hook and line of the lingcod and there was fisherman all over the PP ferry, so I decided to skip it, I wanted to see if you can even see the ferry cause of the bloom down so deep.

No pics as I was hunting.

Great morning it was on the ferry, yet the vis is 6' and dark, then about 7' in the shallows. So here is a few of todays dive.

I remember my father used to surf fish and catch cabezons. It's a little spooky, eating something with green flesh, until you get used to it.

Glad to hear the viz is improving.

Yea, when its cooking it all turns white and very similar to the ling cod taste. Learning to fillet in one slab is the trick, I'll have plenty of practice to hopefully think I have mastered a great fillet, Yet always seem to have bones.

Stormy weather out right now, waves a crashin, have to wait it out till later this afternoon I guess.

This is the morning I was looking for.

Thanks for the reports!

I've never thought about eating a Cabbie... Hmmmmm

When you smoke the other half, makes for a great snack later.

The storm has seem to pass and rained early morning, the wind is minimal at the moment, yet my slack tide is later on today.
