Big O once bubbled...
pescador775 once bubbled...

People are evidently doing stuff with greenie that I find impossible.

You may very well be correct that it isn't cleaning it properly. But a person sure reads alot about it being used to o2 clean tanks and valves.

With Ensolv or trichlor all that's needed is to slosh a quart in the tank and drain.

Back in the day I remember using trichlor in the Marines, that stuff sure was nasty!

A few questions about Ensolv....

1) Does it leave a odor? I take it you don't rinse it out with hot water afterward?

2) How many tanks do you or will you clean with the 1 quart of Ensolv.

3) How do you properly dispose of it?

Thanks for the good discussion!

Dave

Frankly, I think you can over-kill the O2 cleaning stuff...

Just use common sense and effort in cleaning.

I also find it interesting that George Irvine made a comment a few months ago that he never has and never will O2 clean a piece of equipment. I'm not going to go to that degree, but it does make me wonder how much is enough.

Oxyhacker mentions using Simple Green or 409 and I think your common sense comment is sound advice. My tanks are o2 clean and to my knowledge none of my LDSs pump hydrocarbon free air. Opinions are all over the place, but I know a lot of people that are doing the same thing I am and have been doing it a lot longer and they haven't had any problems yet.
