The site has a small update. "Ryans Great White Encounter" Check it out.

Yes Terrydarc I do have a book. It's titled "Hawaii's Fishes...A guild for snorkelers, divers, and aquarists" by John P. Hoover. I got it at the airport! But let's not tell anyone else though. I perfer they think I'm a genius..hee..hee.

Adding a outboard stobe will help a lot to reduce backscatter. Backscatter is caused by the built-in flash which is located right next to the camera lens. When you take a picture the light from the flash goes staight out and gets reflexed off the dirt particals in the water right straight back into the lens. The particals that cause the problems are the ones very close to the camera. These are out of focus and consequently reflex back a huge spot. Moving the light source away from the lens as much as possible and directing the flash at the focus zone will greatly reduce backscatter problems. It will also reduce your bank account..=:{)

SeaMonkey,
Sure enjoyed your site! And I really enjoyed the diving! Good job! I have always wanted to dive in Hawaii and now I have (in my mind at least, thanks to your pics).
