Hey Sea Monkey,

I'm an amateur photog myself and I really have to know: Is the eel picture real or did you morph it onto one of your coral photos? If it's real then WOW what a great shot!!! If it's not then WOW what a helluva job morphing.

Just gotta know.

LuvsTurtles

P.S. Luvs the turtle shots - wish I had more of them.

Sea Monkey,

That is such a cool pic! I hope I didn't offend you - it just has a real wide 3-D effect to it.

Thanx.

No offence taken! Questions are always welcome here..=:) "it just has a real wide 3-D effect to it." That's probably because the scan has a little more contrast and less shadow detail than the original photoagraph. This was not done on propose just a loss of quality when you scan a photograph into a reasonable file size for posting. You can still see a little of the rock showing through the eels shadow if you look carefully under its jaw area. I certainly can see how you might have thought it was a cut and paste. So where are your pics posted?

Hi Sea Monkey,

I shot about 5 rolls from my last trip to St. Thomas but I'm still waiting for development. You would think that a city as big as Phoenix (and one that has about 20 dive shops) that someone would do the Kodak Sea Processing. But no - I have to mail my film down south to Tucson to the only dive shop in the state that offers the service. Will hopefully have some descent shots to post on my home page soon - will keep everyone posted.

Heading down to San Carlos Mexico next weekend for some diving in the Sea of Cortez and will hopefully get some nice shots of the seals.

"Talk" to ya' soon.

Ya what's up with Kodak anyway. I can kinda understand having only one in Arizona..being a desert state and all..but here in California with all the diving that's being done here there's only two. Why can't any dive shop offer it since there just mailing it to the lab anyway? Or the local drug store for that matter.
Dive shop in Tucson? I never would of guessed! I've done lots of Jeep'n by Tucson but never any dive'n.
Keep us updated...

There is a number for laboratory that processes the film for Kodak (Dale Laboratory) on the film I got back. I'm going to call them direct and see if I can't mail my film directly to them. I'll let you know if I have any luck.

Haven't you ever heard of that "ocean front property in Arizona"? We usually go to Mexico to dive - San Carlos on the Sea of Cortez is great. When I can work up the energy to struggle into a 7mil I will venture to Catalina again.

Mark and Ryan,
Your web page is awesome. I would have E-mailed you personally, but sharing my comments with everyone is better. Keep up the great work and great pics.
"I'll be back."

Whew, wee! Went on vacation with you again! (mentally). Thanks. Didn't know Hawaii could be obtained so inexpensively (not to mention so quick)!

Sea Monkey,
Great picture of the moray! The sea turtle is excellent, too and I'm envious of your abillity to identify sea life. You got a book?

General question - how does adding a strobe cut down on back splatter if the film is the same and the exposure's the same?
