That must have failed also since I don't see a gallery with your username on it.

Hy board.
I folowed the procedured described here for the Rev. D and it worked. Thanks for sharing precious information.
Had some problem with the wrench first time, but if i keep the contact for @ 5 sec... it appears.

Hi DeDragonSlayer,

i'm trying to replace the battery of smart pro rev D, i've soldered the new battery and the wrench symbol appears
is that i need to ground the pin of the IC now in order to reset it? and is that i must lift the pin out of the board in order to ground it?
if my soldering skills is not good enough to lift the pin, can i juz cut the pin and ground it?
Thank you and looking forward to your advice. (really done a nice job here :D)

one last question? there 's no software solution for resetting it so far rite?

Yes, as I wrote before, the pin is grounded by design in rev.D. So you must effectively unground it, and then temporarily ground it again to reset the microcontroller.
You can do by cutting of course, if your cutting skills are better than my soldering skills. :) However this way you risk more damage, because of the increased force needed. You might break off a trace from the main board, or do some more irreversible damage. A soldering iron with a very sharp tip would be my preferred tool. :)

Not that I know of, my soft only resets the battery counter, not the whole device.

Thank for your reply, DeDragonSlayer
I'll try unsoldering it then :)

May i ask one more question?
I've unsolder the pin and ground it, it beeps but then the wrench is still there, with temperature reading blink n displaying oxygen 21%
is it normal? or i need to do something?

Thanks a lot for any advice

Uwatec Smart Pro does that. Temperature will stop blinking tomorrow. I don't remember first hand what happens to the wrench symbol (it's been a while since i messed with my computer), but as I understand post #70 the wrench will disappear also.
