Light. I use my light. We're never far enough away to need a noisemaker. If light isn't working (too bright in the water) I'll simply swim over and place my hand on their calf.
Me too. Noise makers (I mean the divers, not the tools) piss me off. Unless you're trying to get the boat's attention on the surface, I don't want to hear it.

Double-eye snap bolt with whistle on one end, snapped to my upper right D-ring. Detach when needed to bang on tank.

I used to have a open end wrench tied off to my bc and it fit nicely inside the cummerbund of the BC until it fell off and I lost it somewhere. Don't know how or where as it just didn't come back with me on a trip.

It was also a handy item to unscrew someones HP hose for quacking the stupid duck call all the time. ;)

sometimes I yell.
Works for me, particularly if I warn my buddy ahead of time that there aren't any underwater owls, and that if he hears "whoooooo, whoooooooo, whoooooooo " that he should look my direction.

Normally used for when I see a scorpionfish or frogfish and know that I'll never be able to find it again if I look away or swim away, so I just stay there, point and shout into the reg.

Only good for 30' or so, and you have to keep yelling until he pauses in breathing.

No one else just spears them thru the calf and reels them over?
:joke:
always use some sort of tank banging option if need to attract attention
Hate the ducks, especially when over used (some people seem to feel the money was wasted if don't honk them at least a half dozen times a dive )

But it works well to get student attentions...But some people...every couple of minutes...."whack, whack wack"

Either grab a fin or grab their arm works for me to get a buddys attention.

I just push the button and talk... :14: Nobody but my buddy knows the bad things I say about the tourists... :D

My light would be first choice. Then I reach out an touch someone. Never tried yelling. Might give it a try. Although it might scare the crap out of a buddy. Might be a fun thing if you are not directly behind them ;-)
