Just received word from the Chamber of Commerce that the sinking will now take place after hurricane season.

Hurriane season isn't officially over until November!

I did read somewhere that they were securing the mooring/slip/pier that it is at for the upcoming hurricane season though, so you're above reference makes sense.

But this means that the major dive season won't start on it until the next year.

If they sink it 25 miles offshore as planned, what will be the water depth ?

Would divers be able to explore it ?

Water depth (to sand) will be about 212 feet.

The top of the tower of the wreck will be about 65 feet deep.
the "numbers" on the side of the tower about 80-85 feet deep.
The flight deck will be about 130 feet deep.
I'm assuming the hanger deck will be easily 150 to 160feet deep.

All of this is before "settling" into the sand any.
