hi i interested in finding out has anyone taken this specialty ?
what was it about and was it worth it ?
thank you

It sounds like it might be interesting and a safe introduction to wreck diving. I guess you have to judge the value of the "USS Oriskany Diver" recognition certificate/wall hanger which will only have value to you. To me, research is a big part of the enjoyment of wreck diving so it “might” be worthwhile depending on how good a job they do.

If you have netflix there's a cool documentary about the Oriskany. I just watched it the other day. I believe it was a discovery channel feature.

I second this. I watched it about 2 weeks ago on Netflix, if its the same one, it was interesting. I think it was called the sinking of Oriskany.

thanks I just watch it very interesting it is called sinking of aircraft carrier on netflix
hopefully i will get a chance to dive it in june

Yeah! thats the one lol i knew it was something like that. I'm gonna try to dive it this summer too. Maybe I'll see you there!

I have a friend I need to visit in North Florida and the Oriskany is kind of along the way. I'm going to try and dive it this summer.

Anyone know what the water temps are like there? I either have a warm water Lycra skin suit thing, a 3/4 wet suit I can use or a dry suit but nothing in between.
