OMG, 1000 psi for an al 80. what the hell do you think 1/3rds is? this is beyond the pale that you did all the math and come out with the same answer as I can in 1/100 of a second. and you want others to join? again OMG

Lets try that again for an AL80 at 140 fsw, and I bet it doesn't come out to thirds.

And if I've got my E8-130s and I'm swimming along at 30 fsw, why on earth would I reserve thirds?

Here you go again. The next 27 years is really starting to look bleak nova. We are talking rec diving. Rule of thirds is overhead (with same cylinder/start pressure).

Actually I'm from the agency that your agency branched off from according to the history I was taught by agency. I think you have your long hosed routed wrong and it must be cutting off the oxygen supply to your brain. The long hose is connected to the right post for the reason you mentioned. Again, I give you that. Again, this thread is about a rec rig...NO DOUBLES. Can you read...I'm starting to think not because if you could you would know that the agency that you so proudly claim to follow, doesn't advocate solo diving.
Good luck on that next 27 years.

Jason
The technique of useing a long hose stems from what I've posted.and It's funny that you brought up solo diving , because that was added because of ONE fatality

Berman reference? We aren't all cave divers here?

It amazes me that nova actually wants to point to a body count to justify or condemn solo diving. In my opinion, no one needs to die for me to know it's a bad idea.

You won't have to worry about thirds if you take an al80 to 140. you wont be worrying about much after that. anyone can go to 140, it's the smart ones who make it back :)

Will to answer your second ? 1/3 out 1/3 back and 1/3 if your buddy loses his gas at the turn.

e8-130 for 30 fsw? man your killing me ROFL

Diving to 100 feet. You and your buddy have an Al 80.

So you use 1000 psi "out," then 1000 psi "back," and you're at 100 feet and you both have 1000 psi remaining?

You will confuse him with all the 1000's...your doing a thirds dive by his books, but not by GUE's

I'm trying to understand his gas management.
