isn't that an oxymoron or something?jonnythan:I'm trying to understand his gas management.
I agree, solo diving for you is a bad idea, jonnythan:It amazes me that nova actually wants to point to a body count to justify or condemn solo diving. In my opinion, no one needs to die for me to know it's a bad idea.

I would drink beer in thirds...but I only have two handsdetroit diver:It's thirds. Always thirds. Thirds w/ an AL80, thirds with LP104's. Thirds in 30 ffw, thirds in 140 fsw. Thirds in overhead, thirds in current, thirds in a pool.

that would require you to take an overhead and deco course, both have gas management plans that workjonnythan:I'm trying to understand his gas management.
Thirds of total gas, across all usable tanks, too it seems. You have a pair of Al 80s on your back, and a slung Al 80? Use half your back gas on the way in, the other half on the way out, and you have a slung Al 80 as a reserve third. I like the simplicitydetroit diver:It's thirds. Always thirds. Funny, a lot of people who have *taught* the types of classes you've taken, and have much more experience than you do, have no trouble explaining their gas management....novadiver:that would require you to take an overhead and deco course, both have gas management plans that work
it's 1/4rs into a siphon and 1/3rds into the flow. that overhead caving. for deco diving in open water it's sac x time x ata plus 50%.detroit diver:It's thirds. Always thirds.
