I usually dive with my HP 100's. I got a good deal on a LP95 last year and never dived it but it's about time. What should I expect weight wise when using this tank?
Thanks, Steve

Depending on the mfg, both cylinders have very similar characteristics in terms of overall buoyancy (-8 to -10 lbs.) as well as buoyancy shift (100 cuft vs 95 cuft assuming a proper fill for both). As such, I would probably not do any changes with your weighting.

Going from HP100 to LP95 tanks, you may have to add anywhere from 0 to 2 lbs., depending on tank manufacturer.
Theoretically, you should be able to compensate for that difference with lung volume/breath changes.
When in doubt, do a weight check.

FWIW, the LP95s that I have dived have trimmed out nicely. Enjoy the new tank.

The tanks shouldn't have too much difference in their bouyancy when at 500 PSI, unless your HP100 is one of the Asahi spun steel tanks: those are boat anchors! BTW, I loved my LP95s as they trimmed out very well for me. I just got lazy (and my air consumption improved) so I switched to LP85s (43 lbs full for the 95s vs 35 full for the 85s) for my shore diving. They are really nice tanks, though.

Peace,
Greg
