Using a BAR submersible pressure gauge in the USA

BTW, the unit of pressure is "bar" (lowercase), not "BAR" (uppercase). For me, "BAR" signifies either an American firearm designed by the late J.M Browning, or a Belgian firearm designed by Marcel Olinger and Bruce Warren Browning.

Now that I've gotten that off my chest (yes, I'm a bit OCD at times), let's return to our regularly scheduled metric-vs-imperial discussion

My Prism2 rebreather came with bar SPG's. I've pretty well learned to translate bar to psi. No big deal... little (very little) inconvenient, but not impossible.

70 bar is roughly 1000psi

No, it's the other way around. 100 bar is roughly 1500 psi.

Easy conversions: multiply by 3/2 (or equivalently by 1.5) and append a zero (same as multiplying by 10) -for Bar to PSI.
