The adjustment i was talking about is located on top closest to the mouth piece it says min max.I've seen the micra adjustable and i think the location is to one side of the reg.Does the adjustment on the new ones do much more than the min max switch on my older modle.Regards Ron

Both controls have to do with adjusting the ease of breathing, but they do it in two different ways.

The control on the side adjusts how hard you have to inhale to open the valve in the first place (cracking pressure). The knob increases or decreases tension on the spring that holds the seat against the orifice.

The min/max lever controls a vane which is just downstream of the second's valve. This is a venturi control. When open (max), the venturi effect helps the valve stay open.
