That being said, if you want to sharpen skills and be a good diver you need to surround yourself with other good divers. Hate to say it but you might find it easier to take a refresher course maybe you will meet someone to dive with.

Most of the diving here is done in Lake Jocasse or Keowee. There may be the round-a-bout spot here or there, but none I have gone to. SO you are looking at about an hours drive to dive. You pack some food, make a day of it, and make sure you bring two cylinders (two tank dives). a long lunch and talking makes an hours off-gassing go by pretty quickly.

I have been in the local shop a couple of times, but that has not been too sucessful. I think the economey has strained them too much. The Fire Dept I used to Volunteer for has landed me more responces.

We will see. I am keeping an eye out for locals(Greer or close by) that want to make the trip to the lakes.

And no, I don't fly to my dive sites. I stay a litle closer than that. Columbia SC has some diving, but I have yet to try any locations down there.

Welcome to the board, TreeFrog. I love diving up at Jocassee. Hope to see you up there sometime.

Yeah. What about a season for diving? I try to dive all year round. If you get a drysuit and undergarments you can make it any day of the year.
