I just don't log dives
nice day offshore the upper keys: sunny skies, SW winds 10KTS, seas 1-2FT. once again, strong currents @ MOLASSES reef and the wrecks. elected to deal with current and double @ MO to avoid the crowds. buoy M8(hole in the wall/winch hole) followed by M19(permit ledge). initially strong current subsiding by dive # 2, average blue/green viz 40-50FT, 86F @ 20-42FT. reef sharks, eagle rays, great fish action south end. pics from TIMG,,,,,,,,,

Agreed, trumpet shot is very cool, any specific technique with getting good shots of trumpet fish other than patience?
Thank you Skeptic14. Just make sure you focus on the part you want to highlight, in this case the mouth. I also moved the strobe closer so I could go a stop down on the lens for some additional depth of field. Being calm, slowing my breathing and not invading its space also helps.

Always love seeing the eagle rays in Florida. We had the same type of conditions for mini-season up in Jupiter. It was either great viz with a ripping current or crap>cold>no current. Glad you guys survived mini-season, heard the traffic was like a parking lot at times.

Thank you Johnoly. I try to avoid the traffic - let the visitors come and go and enjoy themselves. I guess the folks in power think the blast of tourist revenue outweighs the damage to the reef.

always love your images.....I'm leaning towards the diver with the school (photo #2) as my favorite....thanks for sharing.

Thank you iamrushman. That may be the largest school of chubs I have ever seen.
