I hear you. I really loved my tiny RX100 setup—I could get ALL my dive equipment and the photo rig in a Tumi rollaboard for an4-5 day trip to CZM. Heavy, but doable and amazingly portable.
 
A huge advantage of the Nauticam housing in the A6xxx series is the ability to accommodate an offboard battery. Battery life is a big issue on these cameras and this feature doubles battery life. There may be other housings that offer this, I just don't know, but it's a big feature.

The Nauticam also has integral handles, so factor in not having to buy a tray and handles in any cost comparison.
