My wife and I will be taking our OW training in August at a LDS here in the San Francisco bay area, and will be vacationing in Cancun in September. We're staying at Moon Palace resort in Cancun, and will be booking a 3-day dive package while we are there to enjoy our newly acquired OW certs.

Has anyone been to these locations and/or can give any info about diving there? Are there any other scuba packages that are recommended? The Cancun dive sounds like a nice, leisurely dive for our first time. The Cozumel dive sounds like a little more than Cancun, but still good for a new diver. The Cenotes trip sounds like a lot of fun, but we're still not sure what to think about a cavern dive, being this new to scuba diving.
I'm a computer tech support geek that has lifetimes of desk time logged, but no underwater time yet. Any info about these dive sites would be greatly appreciated.
